Derek Rope

Derek is a member of the Pasqua First Nation and lives in Saskatoon with his partner Holly and their two sons, Emmett and Isaac. Derek is the founder of Medicine Rope Strategies, a consultancy that provides economic development strategies, creates partnerships and deploys innovative software solutions. An avid athlete and activist, Derek has been involved as a coach for the past 20 years for Tony Cote and NAIG including all aspects of fundraising and overseeing sponsorship for the events. Derek is the Chair of Saskatchewan Aboriginal Track and Field (SaskATF) and launched its track and field club - Running Wild Athletics.

Holly Kelleher, MBA, Prof. Dir.

Holly has a long tenure serving non-profit, private and government organizations over the last twenty years. She has primarily been engaged in international business development, consulting with more than 90 Saskatchewan based businesses to grow and expand their reach worldwide. Holly also has deep expertise in stakeholder relations and management having served in Director and Executive Director roles. An avid community member, Holly served as a Public School Board trustee for 11 years and has specialized expertise in non-profit governance. Holly currently sits on the Saskatchewan Aboriginal Track and Field and Saskatoon Friendship Inn Boards.

Trevor Mcleod

Originally from Treaty 6 (Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan), Trevor has built an impressive career spanning law, government, private and non-profit sectors. His career has focused on natural resources, environment, finance and Indigenous matters. Most recently, Trevor was an executive at Enbridge where he was responsible for guiding enterprise public policy and positioning the company as a leader in environmental, social and governance matters. Notably, he led development of Enbridge's net zero target and the plumbing required to achieve it. He was instrumental in developing Enbridge's Indigenous lifecycle engagement strategy. Trevor earned a BA and JD from the University of Saskatchewan and an LLM (International Trade Law) from Georgetown University. Trevor is married to Sarah and spends his spare time driving his children to hockey rinks and basketball gyms.

Kendra Farmer

Kendra farmer is a Junior Associate with Medicine Rope Strategies. Kendra is a member of the Metis Nation Saskatchewan and in 2022 graduated with Great Distinction from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor Science in Chemical Engineering . Kendra is also a UofS Huskie Track and Field Alumni and a prolific volunteer having coaching for the North American Indigenous Games Team Saskatchewan and Saskatchewan Aboriginal Track and Field.

Brett LAchance

Brett Lachance is a Junior Associate with Medicine Rope Strategies. Brett is a member of the Big River First Nation and in 2022 graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelors of Education. Brett is currently a Huskie Track and Field Team Captain and choosing to return to school for the winter session. Brett volunteers as a coach for North American Indigenous Games Team Saskatchewan and Saskatchewan Aboriginal Track and Field.
